Rock and R&B Band Blue Meadow Identify With Their Influences Boyz II Men and Little River Band

ImageRock and R&B band Blue Meadow likes to identify with their influences such as Boyz II Men and Little River Band because they feel it shapes the music they make today.  The boys of Blue Meadow have set out to make music that is truly their own, following the old adage “if you want something done right, do it yourself.” By mixing an array of different styles into one pot and creating their version of popular rock, their debut album 39th & 8th proudly introduces a collection of musical styles that epitomize the unique essence, energy and special vibe that is the Big Apple. The band recently released a music video for their new album’s first single, “Cloud 9.”  You can watch the video here!  If you love their hit single, you should check them out live! Blue Meadow will be at the Highline Ballroom in New York this summer on July 21st. Tickets can be purchased here.

Blue Meadow consists of four singer-songwriters from NYC: Densen Curwen, Devon Joseph, Dexter Lendor, and Jamal Reed. You may recognize the name Jamal Reed because of his success with the group Naturally 7.  Best known for their distinct style of “vocal play” Naturally 7′s style of R&B vocals mixed with beat boxing is carried over to Blue Meadow through Jamal’s instantly identifiable voice. The best part is that all four members sing!

You can order or download their album here.
