Right now Cheryl Barnes’ cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Come In From The Cold” has joined the ranks of top names in smooth jazz. The single is off Cheryl’s new album Listen To This which was patiently rendered over a 5 year period prepared with tender loving care utilizing Los Angeles’ finest, including soloists saxophonists Rickey Woodard and Pete Christlieb, pianists John Hammond and Joel Scott, and trumpeter Nolan Shaheed. Barnes’ was also nominated in two categories, Best Black Female Record of the Year and Best Black Female Video of the Year, for a Black Women in Jazz (BWIJ) award!
