Still pretty young, he is just getting known for his amazing talent, but has already been recognized as such by the likes of America’s finest with whom he has already shared the stage. He has toured with successful musicians such as Warren Hayes & Gov’t Mule’s, Jeff Beck, Chickenfoot and a host of others. Knowles was also one of the few artists who played directly to the International Space Station from Mission Control in Houston, TX. Now how can you not be intrigued by a guy like that?

Guitar Enthusiast Tak Matsumoto, Shares Similar Sounds With Eric Clapton Through His New Latest Album, “String of My Soul”

Grammy winning artist Tak Matsumoto has sold more than 80 million albums in the last 20 years.  In addition to playing hard rock in the duo B’z, Tak also includes jazz in his repertoire. After his second release since “Hana” in 2003, “Strings of My Soul” is sure to be a favorite for anyone who enjoys jazz guitar.

Respected by artists such as Pat Metheny, Keb Mo, Larry Carlton, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, and Eric Clapton, Matsumoto’s guitar experimentation fuses jazz, blues, hard rock and pop. Legendary Guitarist Tak Matsumoto New Solo Album CD, “Strings of My Soul”

Tagged as the most notorious guitarist in his homeland, Tak Matsumoto is best known for his tenure in B’z, the most successful Japanese hard/blues rock act to date, with more than 80 million albums sold in the last 20 years.  His new solo album, “Strings of My Soul,” is his second album after his first solo effort, “Hana,” in 2003.

Outside of the successful duo of B’z, Tak is also an incredible solo artist who is often revered by the likes of Larry Carlton, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Keb Mo, Pat Metheny and even Eric Clapton.  Matsumoto’s guitar experimentation led him from jazz and blues to hard rock and pop; a journey evident on the new album “Strings of My Soul,” out since August 7. He considers this album “a new album of myself” while revisiting all of his past favorites songs.
