Geoff Alpert’s New Album Open Your Heart Will Make You Fall In Love With The Trombone Again

Geoff Alpert’s new album Open Your Heart is one for the ages. It isn’t your average smooth jazz album. It’s a smooth jazz album that has a contemporary vibe, funky tunes, and of course it has Geoff Alpert himself showing off his talent with the trombone! Really making his music stand out of the crowd, and drawing that crowd in!

Although the album is rooted in smooth jazz, Alpert utilizes many different styles, which results in a dynamic and engaging musical fusion.  The album is accessible to many and will appeal to those who love smooth jazz as well as those who love funk, pop and many other styles.  The album features the solo trombone, which is also a refreshing change from the more conventional solo instruments of smooth jazz.

If you haven’t yet, you can listen to the album on iTunes, CD Baby  and Amazon.

Be sure to keep up with Geoff on Facebook, Twitter, Reverbnation and his official website www.GeoffAlpert.com for any updates.

Alan Hewitt & One Nation Set To Release Highly Anticipated Rock Fusion Album Evolution

Alan Hewitt by Lynne Peters-1

Alan Hewitt & One Nation are set to release their highly anticipated rock fusion album, Evolution, due out on April 21, 2015; and quite frankly I can’t wait! Hewitt is the keyboardist for The Moody Blues and is also a multi-platinum composer, writer and producer. His talent is, to say the least, unending! When he plays you hear his soul on those keys and you can tell that the entire band is in the same space musically, it creates a beautiful experience. As far as songwriting goes, there are only a handful of artists that can masterfully capture the beauty of words and accompany it with a tune and he manages to do that exceptionally.

Alan Hewitt & One Nation’s album is available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon. I highly suggest that you check out their page too at www.AlanHewittAndOneNation.com and also check out Alan Hewitt’s Facebook.

I’m sure you will enjoy it!

And let’s not forget the numerous national Smooth Jazz radio stations and Billboard reporting stations that he’s getting played on too. See what everyone’s talking about and check out “Flow” on iTunes.

Combining his musical background with the urban lifestyle of Chicago, singer-songwriter Sijay has paved the way for his desire to make music outside the typical guidelines.  He has allowed himself to perfectly merge musical genres to create music that is in a league of its own.

In addition to producing all of his own music as well as music for other artists, he writes all the lyrics, melodies and even scores the horn parts! He has been said to be a mixture between Brian Wilson and Todd Rundgren.

You can’t really associate Sijay with one genre.  He incorporates Neo-Soul and R&B, with a Blues and Jazz influence.  His lyrics compliment the groovy yet edgy sound he achieves.  Transitioning form his last record, which was electronic/dance, Sijay has established his musical talent.

Check out the Pulse Magazine full page feature article for more intimate info on Sijay.

Sijay Releases New Latest Album, Detroit Club, and Gives Away Free Music Download

Image

Sijay’s album “Detroit Club” released on Tuesday, November 20 opens his audience up to a musical psyche molded into an intricate device that has been resting in a rich marinade of Neo Soul, R&B, and Jazz Fusion. The epitome of a triple threat, Sijay is a producer, songwriter and mixer.

Most of the lyrics are about trials of human emotion, playing on common themes like love and loss from a different perspective. Many songs are about hypothetical situations occurring to an over-curious protagonist. Songs range from the goings on at a seedy night club with hot tubs on every other floor, to a chance encounter with a girl who wears clothes from the 80’s and spikes her hair every morning.

Sijay’s musical background and the urban lifestyle of Chicago has established a desire to not follow the typical music rules, and has allowed him to flawlessly merge genres to constantly create music that is in a league of its own. Fitting in has never been so out of style.

In celebration of the new album “Detroit Club” and the upcoming holidays his label is giving away the full length lead single coincidentally titled “Detroit Club” when you sign up for Sijay’s newsletter. To get your free download, Click here

Chicago Based Singer-Songwriter Jumps Into Jazz Music With New Album, Detroit Club

Image

With it’s vast musical history and diverse culture, Chicago isn’t the kind of place to just ‘Fit In.’ Hailing from the Windy City, Sijay learned to craft his obsession with the unorthodox, into a nurturing relationship with lyric and song. Not even his musical upbringing could predict the depth of Sijay’s vocal talent; and when you consider his unique musical style, his apathy towards modern convention, and the passion he breathes for redefining the art of songwriting, fitting in just isn’t in the cards.

Sijay’s musical mind is a complex instrument that is a rich marinade of Jazz, neo-soul, and R&B for just over 22 years. Quoting Sijay, “Every note I sings is meaningful; combining beautifully crafted tones with a rich timbre that eludes even the most experienced singers. Drawing inspiration from personal relationships, alternate history paths, and long and winding road trips, I catalogue a tapestry of original music that brings my passion for originality to the forefront.”

His new album “Detroit Club” will be released on November 20th.  Check him out and let me know what you think.  Click here to hear for yourself!
