The original “Draggin The Line” was a top 5 single in 1971. In 2019, James released Alive, his first album in ten years where he included the hip-hop-infused “Draggin’ The Line” (2020 Version). The album charted #10 on Billboard’s Independent Chart.
Tommy James has long been known as a music innovator and masterful writer and producer, revered for his cutting edge work on his multiple platinum hits including “Crimson & Clover,” Mony Mony,” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion.”
Although he was a huge hitmaker in the 70’s he has not slowed his roll. Tommy can be heard weekly on his SiriusXM 60s On 6 satellite radio show, and continues to tour the U.S., playing dozens of sold out shows annually. His critically acclaimed autobiography, Me The Mob and The Music, has a film version in the works with producer Barbara DeFina (Good Fellas, Casino).
